I cannot think of one thing that needed improvement.
A review of Luosto - Tailor Made - Tunturi Hotel by Terry and Suzanne ScottPerfect holiday from the initial enquiry with Artisan to booking activities and eventually heading home. Everything we had wanted was laid on and the staff were great. All we had to do was have fun! I cannot think of one thing that needed improvement. Thank you for recommendations and taking the time to ensure that all was so well organised. This holiday was absolutely perfect.

A most enjoyable holiday full of all the activities we were looking for
A review of Luosto - Lapland Taster Week by Michael and Dawn TaylorA most enjoyable holiday full of all the activities we were looking for, that were run in a professional and reassuring manner for first-time participators like myself and my wife Dawn. Also, some spare time to try our hand at ice fishing that we booked at the hotel, in addition, the activities provided. We enjoyed all the activities. If I have to say one was least enjoyable, it would probably be…
Read more the reindeer sleigh ride itself, just because it was very sedate. However, the talk given by the Reindeer 'farmer' was most enjoyable and very informative giving a great insight into a year in the life of a reindeer 'farmer'. A big shout out must go to Greta Henderson, the rep at the LoustoTunturi Hotel, for not only a very friendly welcoming and informative briefing about what to expect from the activities, but also her continuity throughout the week with regards to any queries or questions we had and that they were answered or actioned to our complete satisfaction. This was evident one breakfast time when we got chatting about a local ice skating sign we had seen near the hotel and Greta actually interrupted her breakfast to go seek information from another colleague in the restaurant. I’m in no doubt that Greta's enthusiasm to help enhanced our holiday experience.

Would love to go back again
A review of Torassieppi - Winter Retreat by Alison Jacka & Mary HarryWe have just returned from spending a week in Torassieppi and we have had a brilliant time. From snow shoe walking, husky sledding, snowmobiling, reindeer safari and cross country skiing we tried them all. The guides were all experienced and took very good care of us. Our favourite activities were the husky sledding and snowmobiling which were great fun. Our 2nd night we spent in a dome which far…
Read more exceeded our expectations. We were kept really warm and comfortable with a wood burner and electric heaters. In fact, we were too warm. The domes overlook the frozen lake so we had a lovely view - if only the northern lights had appeared that night. They did appear a couple of nights later which just put the finishing touches to an amazing holiday. The winter village is well worth a visit with amazing sculptures and tables made of ice and with its own bar where they serve hot drinks as well as liqueurs. The cloudberry liqueur proved to be our favourite. Would love to go back again.

Amazing to be one with nature
A review of Jeris and Harriniva - Winter Adventure by Jason and Michelle LawrenceThe husky dog safari was amazing - to be at one with nature, and with our pack of huskies, to feel their power and eagerness to run. It was magical being in the middle of nowhere and the overnight cabin was a great opportunity to get to know our group.

We were able to enjoy the holiday without worrying that we had missed something due to the thoroughness of the info provided & the way it was provided. The pre-prep was great & team very helpful. Luosto is an amazing place. So peaceful, tranquil, beautiful, unspoilt - a place good for the soul. We felt we had been away for a month we were so relaxed. Greta – the guide/rep is superb.…
Read more Nothing was too much bother for her. Her enthusiasm rubbed off on us. She gave us some great tips to enjoy the holiday even more, such as talking to the guides and finding out about them & doing things like the locals do like lighting fires in the shelters & cooking sausages. She was great to spend time with & always asked us about our day. She is great at listening & remembering and making things extra special. She is a real asset to Artisan Travel & if all guides were as good as her I would go on ‘guided’ holidays all the time from now on. Our favourite activities included the snowshoe hike across the fells at night. The scenery was stunning and Hanna out guide was fab. She was a font of all knowledge explaining all the flora and fauna, showing us the animal tracks & checking that we were all ok regularly. She tested out everything before we did it, was really considerate and obviously enjoys what she does. Cross-country ski lesson with Hanna and Sonia – again it was the 2 guides that made this. I was quite nervous, but they were so good, breaking everything down & giving us different ways of making it easier. They are both GREAT teachers. Again so good that we are now planning a cross-country snowshoe holiday for next year! Husky adventure - again made by our guide. It was great to spend time with the dogs & enjoy the experience of the sleigh & the dogs’ enthusiasm. Long snowmobile safari – again because of the guides who were very thorough with instructions & also giving handy hints. They obviously really enjoy what they are doing which makes it more fun for us. This holiday was the best holiday I have ever had & truly a holiday of a lifetime. I will definitely recommend Artisan Travel & Luosto to anyone who will listen to me.

A superb winter adventure holiday at Jeris
A review of Jeris and Harriniva - Winter Adventure by Michael, Katherine, Lee and Jane ProwseWe have just returned from a superb winter adventure holiday at Jeris. The destination was a magical winter location and the activities included in our package were extensive and great value for money. The equipment and guides were first class meaning we could enjoy long days out even with temperatures dropping below -25 degrees. The hotel rooms are clean and functional, although don't expect…
