  • Many thanks for making it all happen!

A review of Harriniva - Tailor Made by Bryan Schofield
    12 January 2016

Your local rep Katrina welcomed us with all the information necessary - and even remembered us from our visit two years ago! Whenever we saw her around, she was cheerful, chatty and made sure everything was just as we wanted it. The activities fulfilled our expectations completely. We also hired snowshoes on a free day and carried out our own explorations too. The two day Husky Safari was

brilliant. The overnights cabin was far less spartan than we expected, and because there were just three couples on the trip, the use of the sauna worked out well. It was good to be able to get 'hands on' with the dogs with feeding/ harnessing, etc, and the guide went out of her way to explain things - as well as cooking us some excellent food. The sledding itself is at times an energetic activity, and occasionally a little challenging. Two days of it was just the right amount of time and effort. Glad we didn't opt for the five day event though as I think it would have been too much. I also enjoyed the snowmobiling, so opted for an additional trip - the Olos Panoramic on a free day. Excellent fun! Our first trip to Harriniva, two years ago, was intended to be a 'once in a lifetime trip' - primarily to see the Northern Lights. We enjoyed it so much we went again this year (and saw the Lights three nights out of six!). We are now muttering about saving up for a return visit in a couple of years - trusting we are not overcome by old age and infirmity..... If this plan comes to fruition, we shall be in touch with Artisan Travel once again. Many thanks for making it all happen!

  • The most incredible holiday and one we will always remember with fond memories.

A review of Jeris and Harriniva - Winter Adventure by Stephen & Julie Griffin

(Favourite activity) – 2 day husky safari. Overnight and having to help harness the dogs and feed them, etc all added to the experience and adventure.

  • We loved it

A review of Harriniva - Five-Day Husky Safari by Melanie Lazenby
    02 January 2016

This isn't a holiday for everyone, but it was 100% us. We loved it; we loved mucking in and certainly loved the dogs and scenery. It had a feeling of being in the wilderness, and we were so impressed at our guides expertise and generosity, especially to me being a vegan. The food was amazing as well. The huskies were simply amazing, I initially had concerns about how they'd be for five days, but

the whole safari is done at their pace, and they always came first, so ethically speaking it was fantastic, and lovely to hear that some have been rehomed by holiday makers once their working life was over.

First class and exceeded all the expectations we had. Bonding with the dogs was something that will live me for a very long time.

  • The holiday was perfect in every way

A review of Muonio and The ICEHOTEL® - Winter Adventure at New Year by Carl Ward
    27 December 2015

The holiday was outstanding with an excellent choice of activities. All of the activities were amazing. Our guide made the difference between a good holiday and a memorable one. The holiday was perfect in every way. The only thing that spoiled it was that we had to come home.

  • All activities and equipment provided were excellent

A review of Luosto - Tailor Made - Log Cabin by Helen Etchells
    20 December 2015

Our holiday went very smoothly. All activities and equipment provided were excellent. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Our log cabin accommodation was basic but warm and comfortable. We really enjoyed the Husky Safari. We hadn't expected to be driving the huskies ourselves through some stunning scenery. After the safari we were allowed to cuddle the husky puppies. These was and

  • Excellent travel company - I was very impressed

A review of Saija - Winter's Dream by Teresa Downing
    20 December 2015

Artisan travel is an excellent travel company - I was very impressed. Customer service is the best that I have experienced. All activities were enjoyable - terrifying but great! Least enjoyable: Cross-country skiing - I couldn't do it. Spent most of the time on my bum! Saija lodge is wonderful.

  • This was the best adventure holiday we have been on

A review of Luosto - Tailor Made - Log Cabin by Dale Johnson
    14 December 2015

This was the best adventure holiday we have been on. Very well organised, great accommodation and food. Everyone was so helpful and looked after us to make this a great time. All the equipment from clothing to snowmobiles were in excellent condition, plus qualified staff. The husky safari followed by the snowmobile activities (were favourite activities). Having a coffee break midway in an activity

  • Everything went like clockwork!

A review of Turkey's Vibrant Towns & Ancient Cultures by Hilary Boerio
    13 October 2015

Everything went like clockwork! Hotel staff all seemed to know our schedule and were extremely helpful. The brothers who run the Pension at Lake Bafa were delightful. They took us on a boat trip; provided lovely food; and drinks and snacks whenever we asked. Their hospitality was superb and it was great to be able to talk to their families too. The guide at Ephesus was excellent. Terrific

A review of The Best of Northern Norway - 10 Day Self-Drive Tour by Douglas Bardwell
    31 August 2015

Forgetting the heat, I loved every hotel. All activities were good, most were great and a few were awesome. The best thing was the freedom to drive and stop where ever and whenever I wanted. Never felt like I was being pushed to get anywhere. As far as a single attraction - Horseback riding at Lofothest. Absolutely stunning scenery, great lunch, great guide, and wonderfully responsive and

comfortable horses. Improvements: I'd keep it just as is. It was great. Really appreciated the opportunity to take this tour. I enjoyed myself immensely and brought back some fabulous photos as well as memories.
