  • A very good overall experience

A review of Lapland in the summer - the true story by Douglas Janczak
    07 July 2015

A very good overall experience, very well organised and a great team in Lars and kaisu, who looked after us very well. We enjoyed the activities, despite them being things we can do at home, such as hiking, canoeing and cycling, but it was more about the location which was fantastic. We also managed to go quad biking with the reindeer herder, which was fantastic fun, but that seems like a one off

as the group only consisted of me and Lucy, so it was possible. The dinners in the evening were excellent, and the requirement to make your own lunch was interesting, but luckily we are not fussy eaters. The accommodation was fine, quite basic but there was wifi if wanted. Most enjoyable activity: The hike through the forrest with the overnight in the workers cabin. This was because it the most realistic feeling of truly being in the wilderness. It felt very refreshing and unique. There was not activity we did not enjoy, as they were all good fun and physically demanding which is what we wanted.

  • I would most certainly recommend the photography course, it was excellent.

A review of The Delights of Gozo - Photography Short Break by Francesca Bramall
    04 May 2015

I found the trip most enjoyable. It was very productive and helpful as I wanted to come off automatic and use the manual settings. It took a lot of patience to try to get me to understand but I got there in the end and I was very pleased with my images. I would most certainly recommend the photography course, it was excellent; Gozo was lovely , lots of great photographic opportunities and I also

enjoyed my time to myself on Malta. I hope you manage to secure lots of bookings for this as it was really good, please do pass on the excellent feedback from myself. The daily plan was very well thought out and diverse, covering all angles of photography, absolutely faultless and as I say, a really great trip with a really excellent tutor who is very passionate about his subject which was marvellous for me as I am a very keen photographer.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would recommend it

A review of Discovering the Enchanting Alentejo Coast by Alistair Parker
    29 April 2015

Scorings never seem to allow you to say what you want to say! As with our Finnish trip, holiday package sale and admin was very good - no complaints at all. Only two activities on this trip. First the jeep tour by the Rep at Milfontes thro dunes and cork plantations - highly recommended. Rep arranged included wine tour/tasting. Evora one was unavailable but substitute at Azeitao much enjoyed. Note

any purchases have to return home as hold baggage if not bought as duty free. We are more into scenery, flora and fauna than churches and town/cities. Therefore found the quiet peaceful villages and countryside to our liking, plus the corks, storks and other birds. The coast was most impressive. Locals friendly and helpful. Did enjoy Evora and Lisbon tours, but cut out some of the retail and hilltop castles/churches. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would recommend it. Obviously everyone has different interests but I think the itinerary provided opportunity for all. We made some amendments to that suggested and don't regret that. It’s a lovely area, unspoilt and very quiet out of season. The accommodation was varied and interestingly different - well chosen. We will consider another Artisan holiday in the future. Many thanks. • Wow what an amazing holiday

A review of Kirkenes - Northern Lights And the Snowhotel by Chris Meigh
    14 April 2015

Kirkenes Northern Lights and the snowhotel Where to start - what an amazing trip. We did the trip to Kirkenes and went snowmobiling across a frozen fjord, dog sleighing through the Siberian forest and looking for the Northern Lights on the frozen ocean. It is truly indescribable. It really was a once in a lifetime experience and I thank you for making it go so smoothly. We had no problems at

all - all the pickups were on time and well organised, everything that they said was included was (including a lunch that we were not expecting) and all the activities were outstanding. We went for my mums 50th birthday and it really did make it unforgettable.

  • An amazing week at Saija with near perfect weather

A review of Saija - Husky Safari by Jane Stonehouse
    22 March 2015

We're just back from an amazing week at Saija with near perfect weather, Northern Lights, slept in an igloo and best of all, the dog sledding. We were so impressed by the care shown to all 155 dogs and the dog sledding was a fantastic experience, we didn't want it to end. The staff at Saija all worked hard to make our stay the best ever and nothing was too much trouble, especially Jari, our

  • Already recommending it to all our friends

A review of Luosto - Lapland Taster Week by Stephen Payne
    22 March 2015

The activities were all good but we did enjoy the cross-country skiing and the snowshoe trek. This was our 2nd trip to Luosto and we have already recommended it to all our friends.

  • I'd just like to extend my thanks for making this possible

A review of Luosto - Tailor Made - Tunturi Hotel by Alexander West
    19 March 2015

My girlfriend enjoyed the dog sledding the most. I enjoyed the snowmobiling more; but that's probably because I'd done a 5 day dog sledding trip 2 years ago. My girlfriend is a wheelchair user; so were a bit concerned that we may not be able to fully participate in the activities we booked; but thanks to your staff we were able to do everything on the agenda. I'd just like to extend my thanks for

  • The icing on the cake was meeting the 4 week old pups

A review of Luosto - Tailor Made - Tunturi Hotel by Christine Essex
    19 March 2015

Favourite activity: The husky safari. My son adores huskies; so to spend Mother's day; driving me in the sledge with the glorious blue sky enhancing the superb scenery was really magical. Tim is also very fit; so he also enjoyed the personal challenge. The icing on the cake was meeting the 4 week old pups.

We saw the Aurora 4 times in one week. Everything was really good.

  • Brilliant guide

A review of Jeris and Harriniva - Tailor Made by Christine Fitzpatrick
    16 March 2015

Two day husky safari - brilliant guide - wilderness hut much more comfortable than expected. Guide very kind when I fell off on the hairpin bend - no damage. Also winter village snowmobile trip - just us and a guide - Jenni - covered lots of ground.
